Welcome,
This website was put together to share my own personal story and to help other’s come to the fullness of truth, that Jesus Christ died to give us. Christ was a historical figure who lived and died and resurrected(Rom 8:34, 1Cor 15:3-4). He was truly God( Ex 3:14-15-Jn 8:58). Christ came to restore the family that god had created and sin had destroyed, to reconcile the world to himself( Rom 5:10). He came to pay the ultimate price for sin(1Cor 15:3, 1Peter 2:24) which is death( Rom 6:16) and to forgive sins(Mt 9:2). By the pure offering of himself (Eph 5:2,Heb 10:10) he restored the relationship between the father and the human race.
Christ came as the Son of David(Mt 1:1), the messiah(Jn 1:41), to restore the kingdom(2Sam 7:13,16-Mt 3:2,Mk 1:15,Lk 11;20). For since the beginning we were called to be a Kingdom of Priest, a holy nation(Ex 19:6). This kingdom wasn’t a political Kingdom like Israel had asked for(1Sam 8:6), it was the kingdom that took over Jericho, a Spiritual , Holy , Priestly Kingdom, that Israel rejected. The Kingdom is the Church which Christ established and gave to his children, “the boat of salvation”, to be the means of spreading the Gospel to the whole world until his return and to be the dispenser of God‘s graces for Salvation for those of future generations.
The Church was to continue Christ mission which the Father had sent Jesus to do(Jn 20:21-23, Jn 21:16-17, Mt 28:18-20).
- For God said there will be One Sheppard, One Flock ( Jn 10:16)
- The Church was to be a light set upon a hill(Mt 5:14), to preach the Gospel(Mk 16:15)
- The Church was to rule the family of God and have the final say in matters of faith and Morals ( Mt 18:17)
- The Church was to make the world sons & Daughters of God through baptism(Acts 2:38,Rom 6:3-4,Rom 8:15-17) , making us a new creation( 2Cor 5:17) and giving us the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38)
- The Church was to continue to Forgive sins in “the name of Christ” (Jn 20:23)
- The Church was to be the dispenser of the Lord himself (Body, Blood, Soul & Divinity) in the Eucharist. Giving us eternal life, which is Christ , the Source of Life itself, the true manna from heaven, in the Eucharist(Jn 6:51-56, Jn 22:19).
Christ wed himself to the church (his bride) which is now his body. For Christ only has One Body and only One Bride. Before Jesus left his prayer was one of Unity in (Jn 17:11,21) “That they be all one , even as we are one, So that the world may believe that you have sent me”. For there is One Lord, One faith, One Baptism (Eph 4:5).
Throughout Salvation History God has been Slowly gathering the people of God back together . We see this in the Covenants that God has made. With each covenant the family of God gets bigger. With Adam and eve = Marriage, Noah= Family, Abraham=Tribe, Moses=Nation, David=Kingdom, Jesus=“All nations will be blessed” the Church.
God as a Father does not govern a family in anarchy or a free for all but with structure Just like we as humans do.Many people claim that there relationship with Jesus is personal and they deny the need or the existence of a Visible teaching Body (Church) that governs the people of God. These and many more claims don’t agree with Scripture itself or History. The fact is that Christ came to earth for a couple reasons.
- Was to Die for us
- Impart to men revelation on what they must do and believe to be saved.
Christ did not intend to stay and do it himself , so he gave this commission to his Church. Christ told his desciples to go out to the whole world to preach the Gospel ” He who hears you hears me, he who rejects you rejects me”. Christ made it clear that the apostles and their successors spoke with divine authority, not because they were all perfect but because they were the ones ordained by God to help God carry out his task. This was true for the first century , so much more for the rest of future generations. So for one to speak with divine authority it must first prove that it possess it, once one comes to the knowledge of this reality, to reject the Church (which is Christ Body) is to reject Christ and forefiet ones Salvation. The Church acts as Gods appointed shepard to help guide God’s flock to the heavenly Jerusalem.
Since the Reformation the family of God has been divided, similar to the division of the Twelve Tribes. When the ten tribes left, Scripture tells us that they went around erecting different places of worship. This is similar to what we see with the many denominations in the world. Judah remained faithful despite what was going on. Eventually the tribes came back before they were forced to inter marry and were then dispersed.
There has been a huge influx of our separated brothers and sisters(protestants) back into the Catholic Church. Many have come in due to re looking at the evidence that is out there for those who wish to seek the truth. Unfortunately many have no idea of where they even came from and don’t even know that they are technically “Catholics in exile”.
So as no one like’s a divided Family we must come back together and realize that our battle is not against each other but against principalities and higher powers (Eph 6:12). The problem is that the forefathers of protestantism and many after them have not told the story acurately. The Catholic story which is all of our story, our heritage, since we all came from the Catholic church, needs to be told. There has been soo many false claims made against the Catholic church throughout time that many just believe them. Most people never investigate the claims or double check cited references, if they even are given. Historians now and theologins have asked the question, is this correct history? Are these really the facts? Or have we been decieved by bad historians in the past decade or so. One doesnt have too look far to see on the History channel , P.H.D historians are making false claims that go against the basic historical facts that we know. Watch enough tv and youll find out historians are making outrageous claims left and right, but people believe them, without asking for proof. The same has been the problem with Christian history for decades.
What we all need to realize is that we are both fighting for the same Lord but Satan has turned us against each other in an attempt to keep us off him. What Protestants need to know is that it is not they as a people who the church challenges or condemns but the protestant belief system. We should all agree if what we believe is not from God then we should drop it and follow what is from God.
Throughout the years from the time of Acts of the Apostles to the first century with gnosticism , the church has fought hard against heresies and keeping the one faith. When ever a challenge arises about what the church has always believed, then does the church call a council and define it as dogma so that there be no doubt in the minds of the faithful. We can see this in the doctrine of Christ divinty, the Trinity and all other dogma’s throughout history.
If we go all the way back as John Henry Newman did on his quest to see the development of christian doctrine, we will find as he did, that all the beliefs that the Catholic church holds today can go back to the Apostles them selfs.
- So what beliefs do I hold today?
- How far can I trace them back? To whom do they trace back to?
- Do I believe in the Faith of the first christians? If not why?
By the division among christians we are not reflecting the trinity , it causes scandal to the world and the roots of this cause is of no other than Satan himself. So uniting the church again is of most importance. We must re-look at the biblical and historical evidence.
One might also ask themselves:
- Why is there such division among Christians?
- Was this Gods plan to father a family like this?
- There is a increasing relativism in the world, many people think that their relationship with Christ is a personal or private relationship, which is based really on who they believe Christ to be and their personal judgment on what scripture says about him and his teachings. As you drive down the street, you see many churches as you do fast food restaurants. To many people its a pick and choose buffet. Pick and choose what belief fits your life style and there you go. If you don’t like a particular churches teaching, just leave and move on to the next one or just pick and choose a little bit of doctrine from every church and make up your own belief system.
- So does it matter what church you belong to?
- Are We just supposed to love Jesus and everything else is of no real importance?
- If we Love Jesus should we not remain faithful to what he has commanded and asked for?
- People often say let’s just agree on the essential’s?…..Who decides what is essential?
- How about these rabbit trails (eucharist, mary, pope)….Lets Just focus on Jesus?
- If these so called rabbit trails are tought by God in scripture or by apostles or by the Churches teaching authority which all come from God then they demand are attention and obidience?
- What did Christ mean when he said “I will Build my Church”?
- Who started each church and when?
- What is truth?
- What did Christ give to the world when he came?
- Where can we find it and if we find it, must we not follow it, He (Jesus) who is truth itself.
- Where did we get the Bible? Did it fall from heaven?
- Who decided what books are to be in the bible?
- How many Books are in the Bible? Would the real bible please stand up!
- By what Authority did she have to declare such a Bold claim?
- If its the Churches book , are we to take it away from her, call the church names and interpret it for ourselves?
- Who was it who copied the scriptures, since there are no original copies, who protected them with her life and died for them?
- Who really is God and how can we be faithful disciples and follow him?
- What does one have to do to inherit eternal life?
So this website hopes to answer these questions and much more. Also the main goal is to bring all Christians to full unity and to the bridegroom ,(Christ), who eagerly awaits us!!
